I respectfully disagree it means no your TOTAL requirements before spending


ODU should have defined the REAL requirements before getting into Division 1. You know laying out the requirements for every resource there is a ripple to make sure equal for female athletes. If the program cannot sustain a balance program BEFORE they jumped into football, then they shouldn't jump into football. When you do the study for division 1 requirements include establishing a athletic program available equally between males and females. Therefore, frankly for a men's football program and you need close to 85 scholarships for females. IF you cannot afford 170 scholarships then you should jump to college football. Before, football, with the sports they were offering ODU was ok, and wrestling (and baseball) succeeded along with great women basketball and others. NOW its different. I think ODU saw the glitz without the serious impacts....

This is why VT will not get men's lacrosse... VT (especially now) don't have the revenue numbers to support those total scholarships.

VCU, JMU don't seem to have this problem.

And what do folks want, to go back to the finite where women just in the kitchen, backing cookies and birthing babies and subjective to men..???
